How PlasmaDerm therapy works

The treatment is standardised and safe: each area is treated in two 90-second intervals. This double application enhances the therapeutic effect. For larger wounds, the spacer is gradually overlapped until the entire area has been completely treated.

Step 1

Preparation

The application is carried out directly during the dressing change: The wound is first cleaned and disinfected, as PlasmaDerm therapy is always performed after wound cleaning. The spacer is then placed on the hand-held device. Next, connect the device and switch it on.

Step 2

First application

Place the spacer as completely as possible on the wound surface and press the start button. One interval lasts 90 seconds; an acoustic signal sounds when the interval has elapsed.

Step 3

Overlapping offset

For larger wounds, place the spacer slightly overlapping onto the next area and start the next 90-second interval. This will cover the entire area step by step.

Step 4

Second interval

Once the entire wound area has been treated, a second 90-second interval is applied over the entire area. This second interval enhances the therapeutic effect. For very small wounds, the second interval can be performed after a short pause without moving the spacer.

What Cold Plasma Does for Your Skin

Stimulates Collagen & Elastin Production

Reduces Fine Lines & Wrinkles

Improves Skin Texture & Tone

Non-Invasive & Painless

How it works

Plasma Generation & Application

PlasmaDerm activates and generates cold atmospheric plasma through advanced DBE (Dielectric Barrier Discharge) technology. The device creates ionized gas between electrodes, forming a therapeutic plasma field that is applied directly onto your clean skin surface. Unlike hot plasma treatments, this cold plasma remains at a comfortable temperature, ensuring a gentle, painless experience with no risk of burns or thermal damage

Deep Tissue Penetration

Once applied, the cold plasma doesn't just stay on the surface. The reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) generated by the plasma penetrate through the epidermis into the deeper dermal layers of your skin. This unique deep-penetration capability allows PlasmaDerm to reach the structural foundation of your skin where collagen and elastin are produced, unlike topical creams that only work on the surface. The plasma components travel through skin layers, delivering therapeutic effects where they matter most.

Cellular Activation & Stimulation

The plasma energy triggers your skin's natural regeneration mechanisms at the cellular level. Fibroblast cells—responsible for producing collagen and elastin—are activated and stimulated to increase their activity. This process also enhances cellular metabolism, improves oxygenation, and boosts microcirculation in the skin tissue. Your skin cells essentially "wake up" and begin working more efficiently, initiating a cascade of rejuvenation processes. The plasma also helps reduce inflammation and calm reactive skin, making it suitable even for sensitive skin types
